Insurance calculators
Simple educational tools for scenario planning. They are not quotes and they do not submit your data to insurers.
Insurance comparison calculator
Compare two premiums after deductibles and expected out-of-pocket amounts.
Open tool →Insurance premium calculator
See how selected assumptions affect an illustrative annual premium.
Open tool →Car insurance calculator
Create a rough planning range from vehicle value, use and deductible.
Open tool →Why our tools stay deliberately simple
Insurance pricing models can be complex and proprietary. A public calculator that pretends to reproduce an insurer's underwriting model can create false precision. Our tools therefore expose the assumptions they use and focus on transparent arithmetic that a reader can reproduce. They are intended to support budgeting and comparison, not to predict an insurer's final price.
A better comparison workflow
Run more than one scenario. Note the premium, deductible or excess, benefit limits and any optional cover. Then compare those figures with the actual product documentation. If two policies cannot be compared on the same basis, record the difference rather than forcing them into a single score.
For regulated or health-related products, confirm current eligibility and product terms directly with the insurer, a licensed intermediary or the appropriate regulator before making a financial commitment.
What these calculators are designed to do
The tools turn a few assumptions into simple arithmetic so you can see how a premium, deductible or expected out-of-pocket amount changes a scenario. They are deliberately transparent: the formula is visible in the page code and the tool does not send personal data to an insurer.
What they cannot calculate
Real insurance pricing can depend on underwriting factors that are not collected here. The output therefore has no status as an offer, quotation or eligibility decision. Use it to test assumptions and prepare questions, then replace the estimate with current policy documents and an actual quote when you have one.
Best use of the tools
- Change one variable at a time.
- Compare several scenarios instead of trusting one result.
- Record the assumptions used.
- Keep coverage differences separate from price differences.
Calculator methodology
Every calculator on this site is intentionally simple and transparent. Inputs are processed in the browser and the result is an educational scenario based only on the values entered. The tools do not connect to insurer underwriting systems, do not estimate acceptance and do not account for every tax, fee, rating factor or policy condition.
For a meaningful comparison, use identical assumptions across scenarios. Record the premium period, deductible, limits and optional covers beside the result. A difference that looks attractive mathematically should always be checked against the actual wording of the policies being considered.
